After many yrs of back problems from past car accidents and a herniated disk in 1996, my back just got worse and worse. This past March 2015 I couldn't take the pain anymore or move . ORTHO said my spin collapsed L5 S1. After hrs of surgery , I was out of bed the next morning, still spent 7 days in the hospital . It's now Oct 21st and I have to say YES I'm happy I had the surgery done & now I regret it..
I'm dealing with some of the WORST POST OP
CONDITIONS EVER.. I HAVE NERVE DAMAGE ON MY LEFT SIDE, MY ANKLES SWELL, MY BODY SWELLS, THE HEALING PROCEDURE IS DIFFERENT FOR ALL BUT THE PAIN INVOLVED WITH THE HEALING IS
SO MUCH MORE THEN BEFORE SURGERY.
TITANIUM RODS, SCREWS, & CAGE WITH A SPACER
DO TO THE ENTIRE DISK BEING FORCED OUT COMPLETELY WITH THE COLLAPSE. OH AND DID I MENTION SEVER SPINAL STENOSIS. MEDS CAN ONLY HELP BUT SO MUCH. IT'S GONNA BE ONE HELL OF A WINTER. BUT I MUST SAY I HAD A GREAT SURGEON....EXCELENT...GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
