Post-surgery SI pain

Hi all,
I'm 4 months post-op from L5-S1 PLIF fusion and decompression. Pain immediately after surgery was undescribably horrific (as many of you probably know), but up until 1 month ago the back pain that I had the surgery for had improved by miles and I was very happy with the results. The decompression hasn't worked as nerve damage is permanent so leg weakness is exactly the same.
Pre-surgery, I had moderate hip pain but my SI joint wasn't really investigated as I had so many issues at L4-S1 and back pain was unbearable. Now, the hip pain is a lot worse and it feels just like my pre-op back pain (burning, aching etc). I don't have another appt. with my consultant for another 3 months and I'm concerned that osteoarthritis has spread to my hip and is starting to deteoriate because of less pressure being put on L5-S1 joint (I had my disc completely removed also), so my hips are taking the load. I'm starting to worry as I'm only 17 and I don't think I can deal with any more surgery, both physically and mentally.
I haven't had any post-op CTs/Xrays as of yet, so I don't even know whether the fusion worked. Basically, I'd like to know if anyone had a similar sort of experience, especially with OA of the spine being present elsewhere or having SI problems following surgery.
Any help or advice appreciated, thank you x
