Spine Stimulator

I have been informed by pain center that I am a candidate to receive a Boston Scientific SCR (Spinal Cord Stimulation). I wanted to speak with someone who has had one implanted. After several rounds of injections and 2 nerve burns to SI joint and no lasting comfort. What are the disadvantages vs advantages of having the device. They tell me I have to have a psyc evaluation to be sure I can handle it I guess. Then a trial application period where electrodes are inserted along spine and the device is outside the body. Run and tune for a week to be sure it will work on me. Then removed to wait on insurance approval ? If approved and trial is successful it will be day surgery under anesthetics to put electrodes and power unit under skin. Is the pain relief enough to have procedure done.
